Ground/track condition. Covers UK turf going (HARD through HEAVY), Irish terminology (YIELDING variants), all-weather surfaces (STANDARD variants, FAST/SLOW), and a few less common values. UNRACEABLE means the track is not fit for racing.

GOOD | Ideal racing ground. |
GOOD_TO_SOFT | Slight give in the ground. |
SOFT | Soft ground, significant cut. |
SOFT_TO_HEAVY | Between soft and heavy. |
HEAVY | Very soft, near-waterlogged. |
YIELDING | Irish equivalent of good-to-soft. |
YIELDING_TO_SOFT | Irish — between yielding and soft. |
GOOD_TO_YIELDING | Irish — between good and yielding. |
STANDARD | Standard all-weather conditions. |
STANDARD_TO_SLOW | Between standard and slow all-weather. |
SLOW | Slow all-weather surface. |
FAST | Fast all-weather surface. |
STANDARD_FAST | Between standard and fast all-weather. |
STANDARD_SLOW | KB alias for STANDARD_TO_SLOW. |
SLOPPY | Sloppy — wet dirt track (US usage). |
VERY_SOFT | Occasionally used variant softer than SOFT. |
UNRACEABLE | Track unfit for racing. |
