Object type
A reference to a horse cited in another horse’s pedigree (sire / dam / dam-sire).
Resolves to a canonical participant (id set) once the breeding name has been
matched at ingest (POD-355, REQ-025); when no canonical link exists yet the
reference is name-only (id: null) so the free-text breeding name still surfaces.
